Alcohol and axe throwing... a match made in heaven - or asking for trouble?

Alcohol and axe throwing... a match made in heaven - or asking for trouble?

Sweet Axe Throwing in Wellington is applying for a license to sell alcohol on the premises.

Customers throwing the weapons would be limited to two drinks each, and be turned away if intoxicated.

Owner Lloyd Bombell says axe throwing is very low risk, but police are concerned drinking could increase the risk of an accident.

The hearing's set down for two days.
