One died and dozens were injured on the plane, which plunged about 18-hundred metres last month.

Passengers who sustained minor injuries have been offered a little over 16-thousand dollars and more than 40-thousand for serious injuries.

CNN's Anna Stewart says there're questions around what the final payout will be.

She says a lot depends on the ongoing investigation and whether the airline was at fault; and if it was completely unavoidable.
