Acting Silver Ferns coach Yvette McCausland-Durie admits she's a temporary office-bearer in a tricky situation

Acting Silver Ferns coach Yvette McCausland-Durie admits she's a temporary office-bearer in a tricky situation

The three-time ANZ Premiership-winning coach was only asked to take over hours before Dame Noeline Taurua's stand-down was announced on Wednesday for the South Africa series starting Sunday week.

Newstalk ZB understands there have been numerous instances of athletes telling the players' association they feel unsafe in the team environment, triggering a Netball New Zealand investigation.

McCausland-Durie says the athletes have lost an important group of mentors in Taurua, Deb Fuller and Briony Akle.
