This year's first 48 hours have been quieter than normal for ambulance teams - with fewer call-outs directly linked to drugs and alcohol.
But Hato Hone St John Ambulance Operations Deputy Head, Dan Ohs , says they're seeing more problems caused by recreational drugs, particularly across Auckland.

Ohs says it's health information they need to know about, to provide the best treatment and health referral.
