farmers are suggesting they don't have enough time to adjust to incoming fees on high emission cars

farmers are suggesting they don't have enough time to adjust to incoming fees on high emission cars

New EV buyers will be offered a rebate of up to 8,625 dollars.

But the Government scheme will be funded by a fee on new high-emission vehicles from January.

Federated Farmers President Andrew Hoggard says low-emission car alternatives for farmers, are still a long way off.

He says it'll probably be 3-years before a proper alternative is on the market.
