It's still unclear if businesses suffering from construction in Auckland's city centre will get any help from the Government

It's still unclear if businesses suffering from construction in Auckland's city centre will get any help from the Government

The Albert Street and Victoria Street intersection closed to motorists earlier this month so work can continue on the City Rail Link transport project.

Many business owners revenues have nose dived as a result -- some having to shut their doors due to a lack of customers.

Minister for Small Business Stuart Nash says Transport Minister Michael Wood is looking into it -- but it's not an easy fix.

He says it's not a simple matter of giving them money so they can survive, as the situation is very complex.

Nash says maybe the landlord should be compensating.
