A change in traffic flow for major roadworks in Dunedin's Green Island hopes to bring relief to impacted businesses

A change in traffic flow for major roadworks in Dunedin's Green Island hopes to bring relief to impacted businesses

Until now, one way traffic travelling east towards Dunedin, has been in place on Main South Road for the work between Jenkins Street and Church Street.

However, many local businesses asked for this to be reversed to an east-west direction, so they can better attract afternoon and evening customers.

Night 'n Day owner Anthony Duffy says it's good to see the Dunedin City Council listening to businesses.

He says it's a shame it didn't happen before the work started.
