A new partnership is hoping to improve the rates of ACC claims relating to rugby league

A new partnership is hoping to improve the rates of ACC claims relating to rugby league

Canterbury Rugby League and the Laura Fergusson Brain Injury Trust have signed a memorandum of understanding - aiming to improve head injury awareness.

A high proportion of CRL's demographic are Maori and Pasifika - who have very low rates of making claims through ACC.

Laura Fergusson's chief executive Kathryn Jones says the charity's always looking to help people that can't get the support they require.

She says it's a great opportunity for them to ensure injured rugby league players have access to the appropriate support and rehabilitation.
