Organisers are excited as the first day of the 56th annual Fieldays begins

The agricultural event is expected to attract more than 100-thousand people into Hamilton's Mystery Creek over the four days.

It's the biggest farming event in Australasia and travellers from across 46 countries are expected.

Fieldays CEO Peter Nation says it'll showcase the best of New Zealand agriculture.

He says there's been seven weeks of preparations and people have done an amazing job putting there exhibits on display.
