A couple had left their American bulldog unsupervised and unrestrained at an emergency housing facility where children were playing, back in 2020.
The victim sat on the dog, and it reacted by biting him on the head and face - he was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and underwent plastic surgery.
The pair have been sentenced to five months and three weeks - and four months community detention respectively.
