A health and safety consulting company's been sentenced under the Health and Safety at Work Act

A health and safety consulting company's been sentenced under the Health and Safety at Work Act

Taranaki employee Grant Bowling suffered brain bleeds, permanent loss of taste and smell and has been diagnosed with PTSD - after being injured at work in 2020.

Safe Business Solutions had told his employer it desperately needed a traffic management plan, but didn't deliver it.

Six months later, Bowling was knocked unconscious by an agricultural vehicle's bucket, which WorkSafe says a plan could have prevented.

SBS has been fined 70 thousand dollars and ordered to pay 28 thousand dollars reparations.
