Queenstown Airport's ready for the summer holiday rush

Queenstown Airport's ready for the summer holiday rush

Today's its busiest day of the year, with more than five-thousand people expected to fly into the tourism hotspot.

A similar amount are expected to land on Sunday, Friday and next Saturday.

Airport Chief Operating Officer, Todd Grace says strong passenger numbers are anticipated through until the end of January.

He says the terminal will be bustling as systems near capacity, so asks people allow extra time to check in -- and be patient with staff.
