Surf Life Saving New Zealand surf lifeguards have had a busy Christmas period

Over the past week, surf lifeguards recorded more than 89,000 people were involved in preventative actions and they conducted multiple rescues.

General Manager - Lifesaving Andy Kent says the Xmas weekend with 914 incidents involving almost 54,000 people highlights the importance of surf lifeguard patrols during the busy summer period.
