Police are closing multiple areas in Tasman's Kahurangi National Park today, as they search for a missing tramper

Graham Garnett was expected to return from the Baton/Ellis area on December 30.

Multiple tracks will be closed, including the Wilkinson Track, Baton Saddle and Cowin Spur Track - as search teams use radar.

Police say the 66 year old is 177 centimetres tall, weighs about 100 kilograms and has gray hair.
