Yolanda Hadid's "heart is expending" after becoming an Oma to daughter Gigi Hadid's baby girl

The 25-year-old model and her partner Zayn Malik revealed in September that they had welcomed their first child - whose name has not been made public - into the world

And Gigi's mother has shared a picture of herself holding the newborn's tiny hands on Instagram and gushed about how she's loving "every minute" of being a grandparent.

Alongside the Instagram snap, the 56-year-old television personality wrote: "My heart is expending with so much love and joy for this little baby girl she is an angel sent to us from above.....

Thank you Mommy & Daddy for making me a Oma, I love every minute of it."

Yolanda sharing a picture with her grandchild comes after a source claimed Gigi and former One Direction star Zayn, 27, are “loving parenthood”.

The happy couple “can’t get enough of their little girl”.

An insider said: “Gigi and Zayn are loving parenthood and can’t get enough of their little girl. Things are going really swimmingly between them and they’re both so happy. Gigi is so excited to be a new mom and has been appreciating every moment.”

Another source recently said Gigi is a natural at motherhood.

They explained: "Gigi is very tired but is already an amazing mum. The first couple of weeks have been a hard transition but she hasn't complained and is very elated to be a mom. They feel peaceful staying there [the Hadid farm in Pennsylvania] for now. Gigi wants the most privacy for their baby and wants to be able to raise her privately.”

Announcing his daughter’s birth, Zayn wrote on social media at the time: "Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x (sic)"

Whilst Gigi admitted she is "so in love" with the little one.

She wrote on Instagram: "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she's already changed our world. So in love (sic)”
