Chris Hemsworth loved working with Elsa Pataky on 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga'

The 40-year-old actor and Elsa, his wife, filmed a scene together for the new action-adventure film, and Chris relished the experience, likening it to a "date night" for the couple

Chris - who has India, 12, and ten-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan with Elsa - told E! News: "It's kinda like date night for us because we have three kids.

"Going to work together is when we get some alone time."

The loved-up couple - who have been married since 2010 - spent "a lot of time" together on set.

However, it ruined some of the movie magic for their kids.

Chris shared: "They were on set a lot. They've seen behind the curtain and understand the tricks. Nothing is pretty shocking to them."

The Hollywood star subsequently described his kids as a "wild" bunch, joking that they could "survive in the wasteland" of the 'Mad Max' world.

Meanwhile, Chris previously revealed that he's become choosier about his film projects because of his children.

The actor admitted that his kids have transformed his career in recent years.

He told Entertainment Weekly: "My kids are in school, and they're of the age where it's not as easy to upheave their life and travel across the world."

Chris is best known for playing Thor in the Marvel movies. However, Chris would also love to star in different kinds of films moving forwards.

He said: "I've done so much gritty action and fantastical aesthetic.

"It'd be nice to be a little ... what's the word, cleaner? Not be covered in blood and dust and dirt and being shot at. I'm sick of being beaten up.

"But watch, I'll get sent a bunch of things that completely contradict what I've just said, and that's where I'll head."
