Charli XCX and George Daniel will tie the knot in Italy

The pair flew to the country in August to scope out wedding venues and have reportedly settled on their dream location to wed this year

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Charli and George both love Italy and it holds a special place in their hearts so they decided that's where they want to get married.

"They've found a venue that they think is perfect for their unique style of wedding, which won't exactly be traditional.

"The main aim is to have everyone they love come together and obviously there are plenty of people who are desperate for an invite."

Last year, Charli revealed her plans for the wedding, saying: "We're both very chill and we kind of just want to have a party.

"Neither of us are particularly formal about marriage or care about the formalities of the ceremony or whatever.

"We just want to be together forever and have a party with our friends. That's what we're aiming for wedding-wise."

Charli, 32, and The 1975 drummer George, 34, first started collaborating on music in 2021 before they were spotted holding hands in New York in 2022.

They got engaged in 2023, with Charli announcing the happy news in a now deleted Instagram post.

Speaking to Rolling Stone UK last year about their personal and professional relationship, she said: "We want to impress each other, and we think we're both really good, but I'm actually such a b**** in the studio with George. Because we're obviously so close, you lose everything in terms of the normal studio boundaries.

"We flow really well, and he leaves a lot of space for people to breathe and be them and do their process."
