Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are being urged to have a child by ex-NFL players

The couple, both 35, who have been together since the summer of 2023, have recently been at the centre of gossip they are planning to get married and start a family - and former athletes Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski have now shared their thoughts on the pair's future

Julian, 38, said in the 'Dudes on Dudes' podcast about the possibility of Taylor and Travis having their first child: "That would be a great kid."

Rob, 35, added: "The kid would be performing - having eight catches a game and then doing the halftime show."

He also speculated the scenario could take place "in, like, 24 years".

Julian responded: "Probably sooner" - adding: "Taylor was on the scene when she was, like, 13."

Rob added: "Their kid would be like 14 in college. Just surpassing middle school because he's so smart. "He'll be in the league at 18 and singing and performing at halftime.

"Dang, they need to have a kid if that's the case."

Julian also suggested the child could do a Quavo fashion collaboration and have a song go viral on TikTok.

Julian and Rob are not the first to discuss the idea.

In March 2024, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Harrison Butker told EWTN News in Depth he hoped the couple would "get married and start a family".

Taylor was photographed in November 2023 holding fellow WAG Chariah Gordon's infant daughter.

In February, Travis' friend Adam Lefkoe recalled on the 'Steam Room' podcast the singer was excited to see photos of his baby when they met at an MLB game.

Travis is already an uncle to three nieces, with his brother, Jason Kelce, expecting a fourth daughter with wife Kylie Kelce.

The athlete has spoken about fatherhood, saying in March 2024, on his and Jason's 'New Heights' podcast: "I can't wait... to f****** make one" - while discussing "lab-grown" NBA players.

In November, on the 'Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?' show, Travis also joked having a baby would make him "smarter", adding: "Man, that's all I had to do to become brilliant?"
