Ariana Grande "is happy" for her ex-fiancé Pete Davidson who is expecting his first child with Elsie Hewitt

Now, an insider close to pop star Ariana, 32, has shared that she is pleased for her ex-partner and is glad he is going to be a father.

The source told The Daily Mail: "She is happy for Pete.

"[Ariana] doesn't know Elsie, but she believes that Pete becoming a father is the exact thing that he needs in his life and that he will be a great dad.

"Everyone knows Pete's father passed away in 9/11, and Pete will find it important to provide the best childhood possible for his child."

Ariana "is hoping for the same good fortune to come her way someday in the future", according to the insider.

Pete's firefighter father Scott lost his life responding to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York City in 2001.

Ariana and Pete had their own whirlwind romance.

The pair got together in May 2018, shortly after splitting from their long-time partners, and quickly engaged. But their were all over less than five months later in October.

The Wicked actress is now in a relationship with actor-and-singer Ethan Slater, who she appeared with in musical movie Wicked.

Before Ariana got together with Ethan, 33, she got divorced from her husband, real estate broker Dalton Gomez, in March 2024, after splitting from him in February 2023.

Ethan from his wife, former high-school sweetheart Lilly-Jay, in 2023 and their divorced was finalised in September 2024. They have a two-year-old son together.

Before settling down with Elsie, Pete had several relationships with high-profile women after separating from Ariana.

The comic dated Underworld actress Kate Beckinsale, who is 20 years his senior, and then romanced Margaret Qualley, model Kaia Gerber, Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor, Kim Kardashian, and Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline.

Elsie's famous exes include Jason Sudeikis, Benny Blanco and Ryan Phillippe.

Pete and Elsie announced their pregnancy news on social media with a picture of a shirtless Davidson cradling Hewitt's bump, alongside the caption: "welp now everyone knows we had sex".
