Miley Cyrus says receiving a Hollywood Walk of Fame star "feels like a dream"

The 32-year-old singer and actress has been announced as part of the class of 2026 alongside the likes of Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet, Shaquille O'Neal and more.

Reacting to the announcement on Instagram, Miley wrote: "When I first came to LA from Nashville as a little girl, my family would stay at a hotel on Hollywood Blvd, and I would go on late night walks with my dad when no one would recognize him.

"To now be cemented on this legendary boulevard, surrounded by the icons who inspired me, feels like a dream.

"This moment will live forever, thank you to everyone in my life who made it possible. I am grateful to share this star with you. (sic)"

On Wednesday (02.07.25), the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced 35 famous faces spanning five categories - motion pictures, television, live theatre/live performance, recording and sports entertainment - to receive the honour.

They said: "We are honored to welcome you to the Walk of Fame Class of 2026!"

Among those on the list on the film side are Emily Blunt, Rachel McAdams, Stanley Tucci, Rami Malek, Chris Columbus, Marion Cotillard and Molly Ringwald.

The television group includes the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Sarah Michelle Gellar, with comedian Gabriel 'Fluffy' Inglesias, while Miley is part of the recording list alongside Josh Groban, The Clark Sisters, Bone Thugs 'N Harmony and more.

Shaquille O'Neal is the only name in the sports entertainment category.

Although recognised for her career in music, Miley started as an actress in Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana, but has since only appeared in a handful of films as she chose to focus on her singing.

In May, she told the New York Times newspaper's The Interview podcast: "I became an actress so I could bring that part to life and then I just never really found the role for me because I'm such a character in myself that to find something that can absorb me completely is really challenging.

"And I challenge every writer and director out there to bring it to me because I would love to.

"I either want to be myself because I'm really good at that, or I wanna throw me away because I'm really good at that too. I'm not good in the middle."
