Brittany Cartwright claims her ex-husband Jax Taylor was unsupportive of her doing Special Forces: World's Toughest Test

The 36-year-old reality TV star decided to take part in the gruelling Fox series after she filed for divorce from the 46-year-old model in August 2024, after five years of marriage.

However, Brittany said Jax tried to knock her confidence by saying she "wouldn't get far" in the show, taking on - and trying to survive - training exercises led by an elite team of ex-Special Forces operatives, and she was determined to prove him wrong.

In the season four premiere of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, which aired on Thursday (25.09.25), Brittany admitted: "I wanted to do Special Forces selection because I have been through so much this year, I finally found the strength to leave a very toxic relationship."

She added: "I had my ex writing me being like, 'You're not gonna make it far' right before I even came here, so people like that I want to prove wrong."

However, Jax's words proved right as Brittany - who insisted she was "dedicated to trying every single thing that comes my way" - was the first celebrity recruit to drop out of the competition following a series of challenges in Morocco.

After Brittany's team failed to carry 800 pounds of supplies uphill - in which she fell behind - they were forced to run, and she got further behind again.

And when given the decision if she could remain in the competition, Brittany removed her arm band and said: "I can't. I'm gonna throw up. I'm really sorry. I feel like s***."

The star added to the cameras: "I knew I was gonna be first. F****** knew it. So embarrassing."

Despite feeling sad she was the first celebrity recruit to leave Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, Brittany - who has four-year-old son, Cruz, with Jax - said she was "ready" to be back with her bundle of joy.

The Valley cast member admitted: "I was so ready to get back to my son. I had never been away from him that long.

"That was the longest I've ever been separated from him. So that was a big deal to get back to him."
