Tim Curry could suffer another stroke "at any time"

The 79-year-old actor has been left unable to walk and reliant on a team of carers after surviving a stroke 13 years ago and he's admitted he "wouldn't want" to go through the health crisis for a second time but it's a possibility

When asked if he worries about going through a similar situation again in the future, Curry told the Guardian newspaper: "I probably should [worry]. It could happen any time. I wouldn't want to go through it again. Because it just makes you so f****** vulnerable."

Curry is now reliant on a wheelchair to get around and cannot use his left arm, but he's helped by a team of carers, saying of them: "They really take incredibly good care of me and make me laugh."

He went on to reveal the worst thing about his condition is the loss of his short-term memory as it means he will never work on stage again. He added: "I can't remember a f****** thing. I'm not sure that I could do theatre again."

Curry's father also suffered a stroke prior to his death and the actor admits he thought about his dad when suffered the same medical emergency back in 2012.

He told the publication: "It was an odd thing, because my father had a stroke and died very soon afterwards. I knew I had to force myself to relax and just take the opportunity to float a little ... I did think about how he coped. He was very determined to not be a changed man for us, you know."

Curry previously opened up about his health issues at a special screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles last month.

He told the audience: "I still can't walk, which is why I'm in this silly chair, and that's very limiting. So I won't be singing and I won't be dancing very soon.

"I still have real problems with my left leg."

Curry also revealed he suffered the stroke during a massage and his therapist was the one who noticed something was wrong and called an ambulance.

He said: "I was having a massage at the time and I didn't even actually notice anything, but the guy who was doing the massage said: 'I'm worried about you, I want to call an ambulance'. And he did, and I said: 'That's so silly'."
