Josh Allen listens to "a lot of Elvis" before each game

The 29-year-old NFL star married pop singer Hailee Steinfeld earlier this year, but Josh has revealed that he actually listens to other artists as part of his pre-game preparations

Josh - who plays for the Buffalo Bills - told People: "I just try to listen to very slow old-school stuff to try to keep the heart rate down.

"A lot of Elvis, a lot of Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., Billy Joel. So it's a lot of songs that are just very slow tempo, and I try to relax, try to find myself in a good spot and think of good things that are about to happen."

Josh actually tries to achieve a "form a meditation" in a bid to stay calm before his games.

The sports star - who married Hailee during the NFL off-season - said: "Just talking to myself and be like, alright, breathe.

"Take it one moment at a time. Don't get too high, don't get too low. And obviously there's times where you got to let your emotion out on the football field, and I feel like that helps guys gravitate towards the common goal of trying to win a football game. But again, being here, not being here, but kind of somewhere in the middle. And that's what I try to do."

Meanwhile, Josh recently hailed Hailee as an "undeniable rockstar".

The NFL star confessed that the brunette beauty has totally changed his life, describing Hailee as an "unbelievable" wife.

Speaking to ESPN, Josh explained: "My wife is an unbelievable, undeniable rockstar, in her work, in her life, as a person."

Josh explained that Hailee has also helped him to realise that he's "more than a football player".

Josh - who began dating Hailee back in May 2023 - said: "My whole dream as a kid has been to be in this position, and I've never thought of anything outside of that or beyond that."
