Genevieve Chenneour has been left "so shaken" after she was attacked in London for the second time this year

The Bridgerton actress - who plays Clara Livingston in the Netflix series - broke down in tears and suffered panic attacks after claiming a man hit her in London's Oxford Circus on Thursday (20.11.25), just five minutes before she was due to attend an audition in the capital.

Genevieve took to social media to share an emotional video recounting the event, in which she tearfully told her fans: "Guys, literally five minutes before my audition, I was walking around the corner at Oxford Circus and this guy just looks at me, and targets me, and f***ing hits me.

"I'm like, against the wall, and I was literally right about to arrive for my audition.

"So I've had to come in, and I'm trying to gather myself, but I'm so shaken."

Earlier this year, Genevieve was "left with concussion" after attempting to stop a teenage thief who stole her mobile phone.

The star has now revealed she had only just got her "confidence up" again about walking around central London, when she was attacked on Thursday.

She said: "Obviously I had that phone attack happen to me and it's so nerve-wracking for me being out in central London now.

"I'd just got my confidence up and was looking at moving back."

Genevieve has urged ladies to "please be careful" when walking around London.

Following the attack, she added: "I couldn't walk anywhere - he was just looking at me, and he just f***ing hit me.

"It was a full-grown man. I'm so shaken. I've got to try and prepare for this audition.

"They've really kindly given me this room above the audition room and said I can just take my time and gather myself.

"I'm just going to take, like, half an hour, I think.

"I keep on having panic attacks."

Earlier this year, Zacariah Boulares, 18, pleaded guilty to stealing Genevieve's phone in London's Kensington, and he was jailed for 22 months.
