Chase Infiniti is still coming to terms with fame

The 25-year-old actress has received a host of award nominations for her role alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie One Battle After Another and she is astonished to have soared into the spotlight so quickly.

Chase told The Sunday Times newspaper: "A lot of the things that I'm achieving now were not even a thought in my brain that they could ever happen.

"So a lot of it is me still trying to wrap my head around the fact that this is my reality."

Infiniti says that the success of One Battle After Another has made her more confident in the company of others as she is a "pretty shy person".

She said: "When I first started out, I did not enjoy going to events because I didn't know anybody and nobody knew me. I'm a pretty shy person so those rooms are scary, really scary, and you're really putting yourself out there. But now I'm better at approaching people and being, like, 'Hi, my name is Chase, what's your name?'"

Chase formed strong bonds on the set of Paul Thomas Anderson's movie and revealed that both the director and DiCaprio were regularly making others laugh both "intentionally or unintentionally".

The BAFTA-nominated star explained: "When the cameras weren't on, it really just felt like a bunch of friends hanging out. I was always the one that would go to crafty (catering) and I'd be, like, does anyone want a snack? That was my thing. Leo was always making people crack up, intentionally or unintentionally. So was Paul."

Infiniti revealed that she taught her older co-stars how to make TikTok videos.

She recalled: "I'd be, like, guys, let's make TikToks, this is what my generation really likes to see, and whatnot."

Chase admits that she stills feels overwhelmed in rooms full of stars as she recalled meeting K-Pop icons Felix from Stray Kids and Lisa from Blackpink.

She said: "I was freaking out.

"Because I remember listening to them and so that was really a 'whoa' moment. It feels very weird to have gone from being a really, really big fan, still a big fan, to now being in the same room with them."
