A motorcyclist has died after a crash involving an SUV in Canterbury - at the Lineside overbridge between Rangiora and Kaiapoi

Inspector Peter Cooper says routines have changed during the lockdown but safe driving skills shouldn't be forgotten.

He says travel should only be for essential supplies or work, and people still need to pay attention to the road.

The Lineside Road overpass remains closed and motorists should take alternative routes.
