Additional overnight road resurfacing work on State Highway 1 in the central North Island starts today

Additional overnight road resurfacing work on State Highway 1 in the central North Island starts today

Two sites in Turangi - at the State Highway 1 intersection with State Highway 41, and the State Highway 1 intersection with Pihanga Road, will be completed today and tomorrow.

Between Tuesday and Thursday this week a site on the Desert road will also be resurfaced.

There'll also be foam bitumen stabilisation in the Oturere Hill area of the Desert Road over the week starting tomorrow.

NZTA says Stop-Go traffic management with a temporary speed limit of 30 kilometres will be in place for all sites.
