Police say they'll be out in force around the country to target gatherings of anti-social road users this long weekend

They're warning car enthusiasts to behave, or face prosecution.

This comes as Police confirm an 18 year old Levin man has been charged after a bystander was struck by a vehicle at a boy racer event two weeks ago.

Police say staff will be adopting a zero tolerance approach.
