State Highway Eight, near Twizel has reopened, following the third crash on the road in two days

A heavy vehicle crash closed the Tekapo-Twizel Road just before 8 this morning.

It was about 30 kilometres away from yesterday's two bus acciddnts, which left fifteen people injured.

The Transport Agency is urging drivers to take care on South Island highways - with fog, ice and snow continuing to have an effect.
