Six members of the German track cycling team have been injured when they were hit by a car on Mallorca

Six members of the German track cycling team have been injured when they were hit by a car on Mallorca

The riders were taken to a hospital on the Spanish holiday island.

Some suffered bone fractures but none was in a critical condition.

The driver of the car is reportedly 89 years old and failed to see the group before running into them head-on.

He tested negative for alcohol and drugs but admitted to being distracted at the time of the accident.
