Another trial to increase on-street parking near Christchurch Hospital is set to begin

Another trial to increase on-street parking near Christchurch Hospital is set to begin

The city council's put a clearway in place on Hagley Ave, between St Asaph Street and Riccarton Ave, for six months.

It will allow people to park in the 18 free carparks between 7.30pm and 7.30am each night.

The lane will be open to normal traffic flow in the day.

Transport Operations Manager Stephen Wright says the trial will help council understand the impact of permanently converting the kerbside lane into a free parking area.
