    Petrol prices are back up

    Petrol prices are back up


    Stats NZ figures show they rose 1.7 percent in the September quarter, following a 12 percent fall in the June quarter.

    The average price of a litre of 91-Octane was $1.86, up from $1.83.

    Global fuel prices rose, and an extra 3.5 cents per litre in petrol excise duty was added.

    Petrol prices rose 1.8 percent in Auckland, 1.2 percent in Wellington, and were flat in the rest of North Island,.

    Pump prices rose 6.6 percent in Canterbury.
