The speed limit on one of Christchurch's main roads continues to face criticism from motorists

The speed limit on one of Christchurch's main roads continues to face criticism from motorists

Marshlands Road between Chaneys Corner and Prestons Road was reduced from 70 kilometres per hour to 60 last year.

National MP for Waimakariri Matt Doocey says regular users of the road are frustrated by the current speed limit.

Doocey says he's now calling on the Christchurch City Council to reverse the change.

He will present a petition, with well over a thousand signatures, to the council tomorrow.
