Final meetings for a key earthquake advocacy group

Final meetings for a key earthquake advocacy group

The Claimants Reference Group was established in 2018 and has worked with EQC to provide feedback and advice to improve earthquake settlement processes.

However contracts for those on the group will not be renewed at the end of the year, with final meetings planned for today and Thursday.

Group chair Ali Jones says the group has given a vital voice to claimants.

She says those in the group have not held back from being constructively critical of EQC, but also giving credit where credit is due.

EQC chief Sid Miller says claimant voices will continue to be heard through the Home Owners Advisory Group.
