Brewtown is putting its hand up to end the search for a midsize venue in Wellington

Brewtown is putting its hand up to end the search for a midsize venue in Wellington

The area in Upper Hutt, home to breweries Panhead and Boneface, can accommodate more than 12-thousand people for outdoor concerts

General Manager Phil Gorman believes it's an opportunity to share the deal with the capital, and attract big artists to the region.

He says it's a no brainer, as Wellington City will still benefit - with accommodation and transport still needed from the city, even if the gig is further out.
