MetService has put a heavy snow warning in place for multiple South Island locations

Milford Road, Crown Range Road, Lindis Pass, Haast Pass, Porters Pass and Arthur's Pass can expect snow from now until tomorrow.

It's expected to last until tomorrow afternoon for most regions, in for up to 5 cm of snow.

Snow on the Milford Road will last well into tomorrow evening and may reach 30 to 40 centimetres in depth.
