    A magnitude 4.6 earthquake's hit in the Cook Straight



    GeoNet reports the shake struck 40km north-east of Picton, at a depth of 28 kilometres - just before three this afternoon.

    Over nine-thousand five-hundred people have reported feeling it - majority in the Wellington region.
