???1;People are being warned to plan ahead before they travel this Auckland Anniversary weekend

Those leaving Auckland are warned that Puhoi to Wellsford and Kaipara Flats to the Pukerito roundabout will be hot spots.

Those in Waikato and Bay of Plenty are being warned about expected congestion and repairs on various state highways in the area.

Meanwhile in Hamilton residents are being asked to reduce their water usage because of a big increase recently.

MetService metereologist John Law says there's a mixed out look for the weather.

He says there's likely to be showers on a sunday which will clear by Monday.
