    Canoe Racing New Zealand has sunk the prospect of this weekend's national championships going ahead, because of the uncertainty over Covid-19 alert levels


    Around 300 athletes, including double Olympic champion Lisa Carrington, were due to compete at Lake Karapiro from Friday.

    Chief executive Tom Ashley says the call to host was too risky.



    A new timeframe's expected before the end of the week.
