    Mahe Drysdale's capped off a sub-par personal showing at the national rowing championships with a podium finish


    The double Olympic gold medallist finished third in the men's coxless four alongside Stephen Jones, Jostien Leota-Butler and Cole Brann in Twizel.

    It follows on from fourths in the men's single and double scull races.

    Earlier Hamish Bond won the men's coxless pair with Tom Mackintosh.

    Brooke Donoghue bettered Emma Twigg in a thrilling women's single sculls race.
