Former world champion rower John Storey still hopes to make it to the Tokyo Olympics

Former world champion rower John Storey still hopes to make it to the Tokyo Olympics

Storey's pathway appeared to be in the double, having qualified the boat with Chris Harris last year.

However, Robbie Manson's decision to opt out of the single to return to the double, and Mahe Drysdale claiming the single left Storey without a seat.

Storey's now joined the quad, with the boat to compete at Lucerne's regatta of death in May to try to qualify for the Games.

The eight, featuring double Olympic champion Hamish Bond, will also seek a place.
