Disappointment for sprinter Zoe Hobbs - who's missed out on the women's 100 metre final at the Paris Games

Disappointment for sprinter Zoe Hobbs - who's missed out on the women's 100 metre final at the Paris Games

The Olympic debutant finished sixth in her heat - with the top two in all three semis and the next two fastest advancing.

Hobbs says it feels like she let an opportunity slip - and feels a slow start proved crucial in her semifinal heat.

Drama struck before the sprinters hit the track - Jamaican star Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce not present for her semifinal.

Reports suggest the three-time gold medallist was denied entry to the warm-up track due to a rule change concerning the warm-up area.
