New Zealand skiier Alice Robinson has won the Giant Slalom race at the New Zealand Winter Games

New Zealand skiier Alice Robinson has won the Giant Slalom race at the New Zealand Winter Games

Robinson was rapt to be racing on home snow at Coronet Peak, beating 34 athletes representing 14 nations.

The men were originally scheduled to race today as well, but with challenging snow conditions pushing out the schedule after the women's first run, the priority was to complete the women's second run and ensure a result.

    The Alpine programme continues tomorrow.
