Both State of Origin coaches are backing the decision to move back to one referee when the NRL season restarts

The ARL Commission has approved the move as a way of saving money and cutting down stoppages in play.

Queensland coach Kevin Walters says the system worked for decades before the change to two in 2009.

New South Wales mentor Brad Fitler says while he understands some coaches' concerns, the changes could be good for the game.
