New South Wales police are investigating an altercation allegedly involving Souths playmaker Cody Walker after a video emerged online showing the NRL player kicking a man in the chest in a street last year

Walker's alleged footage from the incident has been used in a blackmail attempt against him for 20,000 Australian dollars.

The original incident was not reported to police.
