The NRL's integrity unit has launched an investigation into claims Titans utility Tyrone Peachey was racially abused by a Knights player in his side's win

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

He could be heard telling referee Chris Sutton he had been the victim of a racial slur in the second half of the victory.

Peachey opted not to make an official on-field complaint when pressed further, but the Gold Coast has confirmed they'll proceed with the issue.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo says they'll speak to all parties involved in order to get to the bottom of the allegations, and ensure a fair and respectful process for all.

He adds player welfare is the NRL's absolute priority, and any form of racism or vilification won't be tolerated.
