    New Zealand Rugby League says its request for the Pacific Championships League final to be staged in Auckland was declined

    Despite no Kangaroos' involvement this year, Sunday's decider between the Kiwis and Toa Samoa will be staged in Sydney.

    NZRL CEO Greg Peters says they'd requested hosting rights via ARL and the NRL.
