A blow to the Warriors halves options ahead of the new NRL season with Te Maire Martin out for an extended period with a broken leg

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Martin suffered the injury playing for the Maori All Stars over the weekend - and scans have confirmed he broken the fibula in his right leg.

He'll be out for 12 weeks.

Luke Metcalf is already out for the opening weeks of the season after his ACL injury last season, while Chanel Harris-Tavita is dealing with a calf injury.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have lost off-season recruit and Kiwis forward Leo Thompson for the first 10 weeks with a calf tear.
