Kiwis forward Scott Sorensen is heading west

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Sorensen has signed with the Perth Bears on a two-year deal for when they enter the NRL in 2027, leaving the Penrith Panthers.

He's the first Kiwi to sign with the Bears.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are paying tribute to Mitchell Barnett after agreeing to release him on compassionate grounds after the upcoming season.

Barnett has a sick child and wants to bring them closer to family in New South Wales.

CEO Cameron George says he'll leave a hole at the club.
