Ahead of flying to New Zealand this morning for the first time since relocating across the Tasman, they've been edged 73-71 by the Illawarra Hawks in their Australian basketball league game.

Coach Dan Shamir says it's a disappointing way to end their stay across the ditch.

The Perth Wildcats have beaten the Brisbane Bullets 102-90.
